Day 1 LIMA PICK UP
Upon arrival reception and transfer to the select hotel - overnight (no meals)
Day 2 NAZCA FULL DAY TOUR
You will be picked up from your Hotel in Lima at 6:00 am, departure to Nazca in private transportation, the ride will take around 6 hours each way . On the way we will visit the Museum of the site. The Maria Reiche tomb and we will stop at the Over view of Nazca. Cut into the stony desert are large number of lines, not only parallels and geometrical figures, but also designs such as a dog, an enormous monkey, a bird with a wing span of over 100 meters, a spider and a tree. The lines, that represent some sort of vast astronomical pre-Inca calendar, are best seen from the air, we will take a half hour flight above the Lines (Airfare included), after the over flight we will take some time to rest and we will have lunch (included) before to come back to Lima. Day 3 LIMA / CUSCO
Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco (airfare included) upon arrival reception and transfer to the select Hotel - morning at leisure, In the afternoon 2;00pm you will be taken on a city tour and visit a local archeological sites, the Cathedral, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman and surroundings returning later afternoon 5:30pm to your hotel around and enjoy the hospitality of the local people (B).
Day 4 SACRED VALLEY (available only on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday)
After breakfast at 8:45am you will be taken through the Inca Sacred Valley where life has remained almost unchanged for 500 years. You will visit the impressive village of Pisac and the Indian market, enjoy the beautiful handicrafts on sale and wonder at the many ethnic tribal costumes worn, not just for tourists, but as part of their heritage by the local people. The tour also include the visit to Ollantaytambo fortress and the Chinchero Market Before returning to your hotel in Cusco late afternoon (around 6:30pm)(breakfast and Lunch included)
Day 5 INCA TRAIL 2/1
We will pick up our passengers from their hotels at 5:40 AM, after which we will start our journey by train from Cusco. We will start our hike from km 104 towards Wiñayhuayna (an archaeological site). In the afternoon we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes and spend the night in a hotel there.(box Lunch)
Day 6 MACHU PICCCHU - CUSCO
Wiñayhuayna - Machu Picchu - Cusco Early in the morning, we will take the bus to Machupicchu to have a guided tour. In the afternoon we will take the train back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:00 PM.(lunch)
Day 7: CUSCO /MANU
We leave Cusco early in the morning in our specialized overland vehicles. Approximately mid-morning we visit the interesting Pre- Inca tombs of Ninamarca, commonly known as “Chullpas”. We continue to Paucartambo, a picturesque Spanish colonial town, and then to the Acjanacu pass, which marks the beginning of the Cultural Zone of Manu Biosphere Reserve. Here, a thick cloak of clouds provides perpetual humidity and makes an ideal habitat for epiphytic plants such as bromeliads. This varied and fascinating world is home of the Cock of the Rock, Spectacled Bear, Orchids, Tree Ferns (one of the oldest living plants), mosses and lichens. This cloud forest exists between 2000 and 3500 meters above sea level and at least 50% of the plant species found here are endemic to this region. Overnight in “Orquídeas de San Pedro Lodge”.Lunch and dinner included
Day 8: MANU
Today we wake up very early to observe the Cock-of-the-Rock (Rupicola peruviana), Peru’s national bird. The male birds are a vibrant reddish orange and about 5:00am. as many as several dozen come together for an exhibition of a ritual mating dance in a comfortably installed on an observation platform called “Lek”. The males display their crest, showing off and posturing for the females. The females, fewer in number, watch to select the most suitable males. After breakfast we continue by bike down the narrow road between waterfalls and canyons toward Pilcopata town for 2 hours approximately .A 30 minutes bus ride to the port of Atalaya where we will board our covered outboard motor boat and head down the Alto Madre de Dios River for approximately 30 minutes toward our private reserve of “Erika Lodge” where we will spend the next two nights. Short walk around the lodge. breakfast ,lunch dinner included.
Day 9 - MANU
Erika Lodge is located in a transition zone between high and low jungle (600 m.a.s.l. to 1,150 m.a.s.l), encompassing different habitats. This altitude range explains the high diversity of wildlife found around this lodge, so immediately after breakfast, we will start walking near the riverbanks, during the hike our guide will talk about insects, medicinal plants, trees, reptiles, mammals, etc. This afternoon we board our boat, and after five minutes, we will walk for another 30 minutes approximately though a very nice trail to observe and talk about the interesting flora fond such as sensitive plants, heliconias, fruit plantations, etc. until we arrive to Machuwasi Lake where with the help of a telescope we can observe great egrets, tucanets, carpenters, Keskadees, cardinals, etc. Short night walk to observe American bullfrogs, horned frogs, tree frogs and an incredible variety of insects. breakfast ,lunch dinner included.
Day 10: MANU/CUSCO
This day we will get up very early to board our boat, and after five minutes, we will arrive to a Parrot Lick “Collpa”, which is a wall of clay in the riverbanks, where many species of parrots such as the blue headed parrot, white-eyed parakeet, feed for mineral and salt supplements to their diet of seeds and fruits. After this we will take the boat to Atalaya where the bus takes us out of Manu, arriving Cusco late in the afternoon. Overnight .breakfast included.
DAY 11 TRANSFER OUT
Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight back in Lima (airfare included) end of our services
